Checksum.ai is at the forefront of artificial intelligence, using AI to automatically QA software based on real user behavior. Our AI models learn how to use our customers’ applications and create realistic and durable tests so engineering teams can move fast.

We are looking for a creative, self motivated and results-driven Customer Engineer to work with our customers and make them successful with our product.

About The Role

As the first customer-facing Customer Engineer at Checksum your goal is to make our customers successful. This means understanding the customer goals, working with them to achieve it, analyzing our model performance as it relates to customers and working with product and engineering to improve our product and incorporate feedback from customers.


  • At least 5 years of experience managing customers, responsible for revenue/customer related KPIs like retention, usage, revenue, etc.
  • Proficiency with Javascript, usage of CLI, setting CI/CD pipelines and ability to guide and debug related customer issues
  • Experience consulting customers on achievable outcomes and the transformational power of new tooling.
  • Proven track record of moving customers through the customer journey, and managing pilots with successful outcomes.
  • You’re a customer oriented hands-on problem solver.
  • You love working with customers, understanding their issues and helping them solve them.
  • You can drive customers forward, work independently and do not need much guidance or instructions as long as the goal is clear.


  • Expertise in Playwright, Cypress or other web automation frameworks.
  • Past experience as a frontend developer.
  • Experience working in early-stage startups, leading solutions engineering function
  • A demonstrated track record of qualifying and selling a technical solution to stakeholders.
  • Data analytics skills - SQL, Python or other relevant data analytics tools
  • You live in SF and can work 4-5 days from the office
