About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Field CTO to join our team in San Francisco. This role blends technical expertise, process management, and customer collaboration, making it ideal for a skilled engineer who thrives in dynamic environments. You will play a crucial role in driving customer success through technical expertise, managing quality processes, collaborating with the Co-Founder, and driving high-quality outcomes for our customers. This is an exciting opportunity to shape our engineering strategy while staying deeply involved in coding and engineering solutions.
This is an on-site role based in our San Francisco HQ 4-5 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead customer implementation of end-to-end testing pipeline, ensuring high-quality software delivery.
- Build and maintain end-to-end test automation frameworks and suites.
- Work directly with customers, fostering empathy and ensuring their needs are met through efficient solutions.
- Drive customer success, implementation and revenue expansion.
- Write, review, and debug code in JavaScript and TypeScript to support both development and QA automation efforts.
- Collaborate closely with the Co-Founder and cross-functional teams to set and achieve clear success criteria.
- Support and mentor QA team members, helping to develop their technical and professional skills.
- Drive projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- 4+ years of engineering management experience
- Strong coding skills in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders, including customers, and translate feedback into actionable solutions.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to define and track success criteria.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with end-to-end test automation frameworks and building test suites.
- Hands-on experience in QA processes, with a focus on automation (having been a QA automation engineer is a significant advantage but not required)

The estimated base salary range for this position is $175,000 to $280,000, which does not include the value of benefits or a potential equity grant. A wide range of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, market conditions, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and business and organizational needs
