We’re looking for a proactive and impact-driven QA Automation Engineer to develop and execute automated test scripts, integrate AI models into workflows, and collaborate closely with developers and co-founders in a fast-paced startup environment. This is a on-site position based in our San Francisco office 4-5x a week.

What You’ll Do
- Write clear, concise, and well-structured automated test scripts that cover a wide range of scenarios and edge cases.
- Integrating AI models into your day to day work flow
- Execute automated tests regularly and analyze test results to identify and report defects.
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce and troubleshoot issues found during testing.
- Maintain and update test reports and metrics to track the effectiveness of test automation efforts.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of QA processes and documentation.
- Work closely with Checksum Co-founder and other engineers to ensure the smooth integration of automated tests into the software development lifecycle.
Who You are
- 1+ years of experience with Playwright, Cypress, or other web automation frameworks, or a strong background in frontend development.
- 1+ years of experience with JavaScript/TypeScript.
- A proactive approach and a drive to make an impact.
- Experience with AI models and integrating them into your workflow.
- Excited to work in an early-stage, fast-paced environment where playbooks are still being built.
- Excited about the opportunity to collaborate with external customers and manage client relationships
- Ability to come into the SF Office 4-5 days a week

The estimated hourly rate range for this position is $25 to $40, which does not include the value of benefits or a potential equity grant. A wide range of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, market conditions, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and business and organizational needs.
