Fricative Mission

Businesses make consequential decisions with an incomplete view of the world. What to invest in. Which customers to pursue. Where a market is moving. What risk to take. What to do next.

Their own information is scattered across systems, spreadsheets, conversations, and people’s heads. Meanwhile, public filings, market activity, company announcements, and other outside signals may reveal that something important has changed. People spend enormous amounts of time piecing this together, but the reasoning behind the eventual decision often remains invisible.

Fricative is building toward a Decision Management System: a way to bring those signals together and help a team answer a practical question: What should we do, why, and why now? The answers have to be more than persuasive. People should be able to see where each claim came from, how the evidence fits together, what remains uncertain, and what would change the recommendation. We’re developing this with real clients and real decisions because this is a category that doesn’t have a playbook yet.

Fricative is a portfolio company of super{set}, a venture studio that conceives, funds and builds AI-native companies from formation through scale. We work alongside founders as operators, helping shape companies from day one.

The Role

We're looking for a commercial operator who knows how to get people and organizations moving. You'll work with sophisticated enterprise customers to identify high-value opportunities, build alignment across stakeholders, and turn interest into commercial commitment. You'll need to understand the customer's business, recognize where economic value exists, and navigate competing priorities to move an opportunity forward.

You'll work closely with the AI Solutions Strategist, who diagnoses the underlying problem and develops and tests potential solutions, and the engineers building the system. You own the customer, the commercial opportunity, and the momentum required to move it forward.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN

  • Find the opportunity. Understand the customer's business, identify where meaningful economic value exists, and establish why solving the problem matters now.
  • Build alignment. Navigate stakeholders, competing incentives, and external advisors to get the right people behind an opportunity.
  • Drive commercial momentum. Move from initial interest to a clear business case, customer commitment, and commercial engagement.
  • Connect customers and solutions. Bring business context and priorities to the Fricative team, keeping the work focused on outcomes the customer values.
  • Turn early customer engagements into repeatable ways to identify, win, and expand enterprise opportunities.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

In your first 6–9 months, you will have:

  • Built credible relationships with senior stakeholders at target enterprises.
  • Advanced meaningful commercial opportunities with a clear business case and path to commitment.
  • Created alignment across complex stakeholder groups and kept engagements moving.
  • Established repeatable patterns for identifying, winning, and expanding enterprise opportunities.

WHAT YOU BRING

We're looking for someone who combines the structured thinking of a consultant with the commercial instinct and agency to make things happen.

Must Have

  • Approximately five years of experience in management consulting, strategy consulting, technology consulting, or a similarly rigorous client-facing role.
  • Strong business judgment and the ability to identify economic opportunity and articulate why it matters.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, build alignment, and move decisions forward without formal authority.
  • Evidence of turning analysis or recommendations into commitment and action, not just delivering the work.
  • Commercial instinct, clear communication, and high personal agency.
  • Enough technical curiosity to understand AI-enabled products and connect their potential to business value.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in enterprise strategy, technology, data, AI, or transformation.
  • Exposure to complex enterprise buying decisions or commercial engagements.
  • Experience working across client organizations, technical teams, and external advisors.

What We Look For

We want to see evidence that you can understand a business, recognize an opportunity, and get people moving. Share examples that you can:

  • Identify an economic opportunity others have overlooked.
  • Influence a senior stakeholder or align people with competing priorities.
  • Turn a recommendation into a commitment or concrete action.

This Role Is Probably Not For You If

  • You prefer developing recommendations to owning what happens next.
  • You prefer maintaining existing relationships to creating new opportunities.
  • You want to focus primarily on closing deals without deeply understanding the customer's business.
  • You want to diagnose and design the AI solution yourself rather than own the commercial opportunity and customer alignment.

Compensation

USD 230,000 - USD 260,000 annual base salary. The final offer will depend on qualifications, experience and location. This role is also eligible for equity.

The Opportunity

  • Help build a new category at the intersection of enterprise decision-making and AI.
  • Work directly with sophisticated customers, shape how Fricative goes to market, and help turn an emerging technology into something businesses act on.
  • Build a category around a new kind of system for managing how organizations make consequential decisions.
  • Partner directly with builders and operators who have repeatedly conceived, built and scaled category-defining infrastructure companies, learning from their pattern recognition while shaping Fricative alongside them.
  • Build from an early stage, with the autonomy to create a playbook rather than inherit one.

If you're at your best when the problem is ambiguous, the stakeholders are complicated, and progress depends on you making things move, let's talk.
